I’ve seen quite a number of people that work on a need-to basis i.e. they’re probably doing whatever they ought to do just for the salary. They don’t contribute more than required and they also make sure they don’t contribute less than necessary. Which, of course, is not what a corporate high-flier would do. But [...]

In the course of one’s work life, office politics would be considered a norm in everyday life, especially in big corporations. Office politics sometime requires one to engage in frequent battles amongst subordinates, colleagues, peers and, on rare occasions, even bosses too. I’ve always believed that in office politics, we can lose the battle but [...]

Yesterday was another one of those monthly menstruation meetings that I dread going to. And again, it started from 9.15 a.m. and ended at 7.30 p.m. non-stop (except for lunch and 10-min pee breaks, no tea breaks). Imagine going through this kind of monthly torture for seven years!
Sure, there was an agenda given by her [...]

The last few days has seen some emails flying around where some of the managers ‘informed’ the boss that they have managed to breach a new level of record-breaking figure compared to the company’s budget ceiling. Looks more like gloating, if you asked me.
True, an occasional pat on one’s own back should be a good [...]

I was reading one of articles in Malaysia Today and one particular line really jumped at me:
“I might not like Abdullah but I must certainly admire his skills. He looks stupid, he talks stupid, he acts stupid, but a man who can make you think he is stupid is actually cleverer than you.”
How true indeed. [...]

Wifi Days Are Here Again

Ahh… it’s good to be back to my finger tapping journeys. The last few days have been an agony for me due to the lack of online capabilities, no thanks to the Maxis Broadband modem power adapter that broke down.
I managed to get it replaced yesterday at the Maxis Centre in Sunway Pyramid, which was [...]
